Course Description

Level 7- Diploma in Environmental Management aims to equip learners about with the knowledge, understanding about the Environment Management. To identify the systems of environmental systems, about the concept of the Environmental Management System, about the ways to control and manage different factors of the environment, role and importance of Environmental Management Systems. Learner will also know about the ways to develop an Environmental Policy after getting information regarding the Environmental Policy and Governance. Learner will get information concerning Environmental Impact Assessment. Learners will become able to understand the Methodologies and procedures of (EIA).

At the end of this program, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand about the Environmental decision making
  • Understand the Concept of Global Environmental Issues.
  • Understand the concept of the Environmental Management System.
  • Understand about the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme.
  • Understand about the importance of Environmental Auditing.
  • Understand about the Essential Environmental Science and Financial Assessment.
  • Understand the importance of Environmental Policy and also about developing an Environmental policy.
  • Understand the importance of Environmental governance.
  • Understand the Environmental law & its operations.
  • Understand Environmental regulatory framework In the UK.
  • Understand about different terms Ecology and Conservation, Agriculture and Environment and Sustainable Energy.
  • Understand the importance of Environmental Science.
  • Understand about Environmental perception and public awareness.
  • Understand about Environmental impact assessment.

QUALIFICATION STRUCTURE

The Level 7- Diploma in Environmental Management consists of 11 Mandatory units making a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 460 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification

Note:

TQT: Represents the number of notional hours expected as required to complete a qualification.
GLH: Represents the number of hours a trainer is available to teach and supervise the learner working on a qualification.
Credit: Represents the number of credits which may be awarded to a learner to successfully complete the qualification.

* One credit is equal to the 10 hours of TQT.

Assessment Criteria:

The qualification assessment criteria is assignment based, but to achieve a pass, the learner must fulfill all the learning requirements of each unit, and at the end of every unit an interview will be conducted as an evidence to ensure that the work truly belongs to the learner.
